Language therapy is a treatment approach which treats individual’s decreased ability to find appropriate words for items or concepts, formulate sentences, understand what is being said, and overall communicate their wants and needs.
LANGUAGE THERAPY PROGRAM
Verbal expression and comprehension (language) can be effected by a variety of conditions and disorders that can be treated by our speech-language pathology team. The most common language impairment is called aphasia. Aphasia is an impairment in the production and comprehension of speech as well as the ability to read or write.
Individuals with aphasia often sustain an injury to the left side of their brain with resulting right-sided hemiparesis.

Sarah Sanders MS CCC SLP has been educated through specialized continuing education on evidence – based multimodal therapeutic techniques and partner approaches that are effective with the aphasia population.
Angela Gasper MS CCC SLP has a specialized treatment approach in the area of reading and word finding treatment that can facilitate communication at multiple levels.
